Orthopaedic surgery:
At Skodsborg Private Hospital, we have employed four orthopaedic surgeons, all of whom have many years experience and expertise of hip and knee replacement surgery. Skodsborg Private Hospital has developed a concept that is at the forefront of developments; such as the use of new low-impact surgery techniques, a unique pain management programme, and an individually designed post operative treatment pathway. Skodsborg Private Hospital’s vision is to become one of Denmark's leading centres for artificial joint replacement surgery, a vision we are well on track with, as we currently perform more than 500 of this type of operation per year.

Custom designed operating theatre:
Skodsborg Private Hospital has invested in a specially designed operating theatre, which meets the strictest standards of quality and hygiene. The theatre is equipped with a laminar airflow ventilation system. This technique provides the best protection against infection, and will probably soon become the official standard required to perform operations of this type.
Several times a year our operating theatres are visited and examined by “Statens Seruminstitut” (National Vaccine Institute, which comes under the Danish Ministry of Health & Prevention), who perform tests and measurements of the theatres. Skodsborg Private Hospital is totally unique, in that we are the only private hospital in Denmark to offer big toe joint replacements.
